Crafty Catz Challenge #93 - Christmas In July - DT

Hello!  Hope everyone has had a lovely Friday, the weather has been great again today and is looking good for the weekend so all is well.  Today saw the start of another new challenge at Crafty Catz and this week it was my turn to choose the theme so I have gone for ' Christmas '.  I am always last minute with my Christmas cards so I thought this would be the perfect chance to get a head start and get in the mood, although I have to admit it was very strange making this card when it was glorious sunshine outside and the kids were running around the garden chasing bubbles and eating ice-cream lol!  The lovely images on all the DT cards this week were kindly supplied by our sponsor, The Stamping Boutique and I hope you can join us and I look forward to seeing all your creations and maybe getting some inspiration from them to continue with my Christmas cards.

Totally Gorjuss Challenge 61 Someone Special DT

Hello! Well down came the snow last night around 3 inches not a lot I know compared to what some of you have suffered but far too much for my liking. Anyway we have a new challenge over at Totally Gorjuss and this is the last one of the year so you get a bit longer to join in the fun this time and the theme is 'someone special'. I have used a cute image from Pink Gem and coloured with Promarkers and I am now the very lucky owner of a Cuttlebug and even though I need to get dies I have had a little go with what I got with it and love it, I have been wanting one for ages and I can't believe it has finally happened lol! I think I will have to have a spending spree on Nesties in the New Year and get all those lovely shapes. Anyway just in case I don't get back on here before Christmas I just want to say a massive thank you to everyone who takes the time to visit my little blog and for all your kind comments it means alot xxx

Totally Gorjuss Challenge 59 & Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge 112

Hello! Hope everyone is well and looking forward to Christmas. I am sorry this post is so late but I had a bad fall last week collecting the kids from school and hurt my arm and shoulder and it is amazing how many things it stops you doing, including card making, I managed to get 2 DT cards done but sadly I never quite managed my Crafty Catz one but all the other girls cards are fab so pop over and join in the fun! This week at Totally Gorjuss we have one of Net's great sketches and I used a Mo Manning image coloured with Promarkers, I just love these little North Pole elves his friend is on my next card too. Which leads me to Secret Crafter, the challenge there this week was Christmas as chosen by myself and again I have coloured with Promarkers which you can buy from the Secret Crafter shop. I also have decided with a heavy heart to step down from the Secret Crafter DT, I have had the best time with the girls over the last few months but with one thing and another cannot give it my all at the moment and I don't like to let people down so I felt this was the right time to say enough is enough but a big thank you to the DT I will miss you all xxx

Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge 111 - A Recipe - DT

Today is a new challenge over at Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge and this week we have a recipe for you of ' 3 snowflakes, 2 circles and lace', we are also sponsored by Kenny K and the DT were lucky enough to have some images to play with. I loved using this mistletoe image from Kenny K, it is so far removed from what I normally colour and I didn't think I would like using it but I did and I think I will be visiting the shop and buying a couple more. Hello! Hope you are all well and not too cold, it is freezing here today but fingers crossed so far no snow. Yesterday saw a new challenge at Crafty Catz and I chose the theme of 'Christmas' this week in the hope if like me you are behind with your cards it gives you a chance to catch up. Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge 109 - Sparkle & Shine - DT

Today is a new challenge over at Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge and this week's theme is 'Sparkle and Shine'. I have used Tilda again, I have used her on every card this week but I couldn't resist as there are so many great Christmas Tilda's. The papers used are Basic Grey which can be bought in the Secret Crafter shop along with Promarkers which I have coloured with. I have added tons of sparkle to this card with my Stickles but sadly it hasn't shown up well on the pictures, I really need to master how to take photo's which really pick up the sparkle, any tips would be greatly received. Anyway thank you for taking the time to visit me and leave such lovely comments I really appreciate it and will try my best to come and visit you too.

Totally Gorjuss Challenge 56 - Traditional Christmas Colours - DT

Hello! Today is a new challenge over at Totally Gorjuss and this week's theme is 'Traditional Christmas colours'. I love making Christmas cards in traditional colours, deep reds and greens it is what Christmas is about for me, I love everything about it and cannot wait to get my tree up, I am one of those people that puts it up the first weekend in December and tells everyone it is 'because of the kids' when really it would go up then whether I had kids or not lol! I have used Tilda again in this card and one of my new Whimsey sentiment stamps which I am loving and will be used on every Christmas card I make from now on so I apologise in advance for that! Well I can't wait to visit you all this week and see your gorgeous cards.

Crafty Catz Challenge #58 - Paper Tearing - DT

Good morning! Hope you are all well and didn't suffer too much with those awful winds the other night, it was horrendous here, I hate gales always makes me think the roof is going to blow off lol! Anyway we have a new challenge over at Crafty Catz and this week's theme is 'paper tearing' as chosen by the lovely Suzanne. Now I have chickened out of this challenge a bit as there is only a tiny bit of paper tearing on my card but it is there, I never use this technique and didn't know how to add loads without it looking daft so I am looking forward to seeing what you all come up with this week so I can be inspired.

Totally Gorjuss Challenge 55 - Sketch - DT

Hello again, this is my last post for today and it is my DT card for Totally Gorjuss. This week is a sketch challenge and we have another lovely sketch from Net to use, I loved this one as it was nice and easy to follow yet so effective. I have used another Lili of the Valley stamp, I am loving these at the moment and must get some more especially the Christmas ones. I have used Basic Grey paper again but blues this time which I don't often use for Christmas cards but I love the finished look of this card and will no doubt use blue more often. I hope you can join us again this week as we have a very special guest designer, Kim Piggott, how lucky are we ... and enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Crafty Catz Challenge #57 - Spots & Stripes

Good morning, hope you are all well. Yesterday was a new challenge over at Crafty Catz and this week's theme is 'Spots & Stripes' as chosen by Lindsey. As I am behind as usual on my Christmas cards I have now made the decision that every card where possible that I make now has to be a Christmas card so fingers crossed that there are lots of Christmas themes coming up or I could have problems lol! It was my beautiful little girl's [not biased at all am I ...] birthday on Tuesday and she was the big '5'. She has been soooooo excited about the whole thing for week's so I am kind of glad it has been and gone as we might all get some sleep now but she had a party at the local soft play centre with loads of her friends and got lots of lovely pressies so she is very pleased with herself, she mainly got art stuff bought her as like me she loves crafting so maybe there will be a 'By Grayce' blog one day. Anyway back to Crafty Catz and we are sponsored this week by Robyn's Fetish and I have used one of their fab digi images for this card, the angel was not meant to look like she had a nightshirt on but she does so apologies for that.
