Totally Gorjuss Challenge DT - Paper Piecing

Good morning. Today I have my DT card for Totally Gorjuss, it is a day late I am afraid as we were out all day yesterday and I didn't get chance to post it. This week's challenge is paper piecing and I really enjoyed this one. I don't often do this technique but I am going to from now on as it creates a lovely effect. Hop over to the blog to see all the other DT's creations and join in the fun.

Crafty Catz Challenge 17 - DT - Sketch

Good afternoon, hope you are all ready for the weekend. It has been soooo cold here today and I have just looked out of the window and it is snowing ...... hope it doesn't last long, I really feel we have had enough for one year! Anyway today is another challenge over at Crafty Catz and this week we have a great sketch to follow which has been designed by Dianne. This week is an exciting week as the prize is a 2 week guest design spot, so it has to be worth a go. I have used a lovely digi-image from Mo Manning, I am really, really loving her designs at the moment and they are a joy to colour. Looking forward to visiting you all soon!

Flutter By Wednesday GDT

Good morning, hope you are all well and having a good week. Today I have my Guest DT card for Flutter By Wednesday's. This week is an open challenge so you can let your imaginations run wild as long as there is a butterfly, angel or fairy on your card somewhere. I have used one of my favourite Tilda's for this card, I think she may be a Christmassy one really but I think she works quite well all year round. I have added lots of stickles for sparkle and I have nestled some little butterflies in among the flowers.

Digital Tuesday Challenge 43 DT

Hello! Today is another challenge over on Digital Tuesday and I am very happy at the moment as I have just had news that my father in law has had a successful heart bypass operation - he has been waiting for it since October and naturally we were all very anxious but everything seems good so far, fingers crossed for a fast recovery for him. Anyway back to Digital Tuesday and this weeks challenge is a humorous men's card - well I can't do men's cards to save my life and then to make it humorous aswell, all I can say is it just hasn't happened - it is not the slightest bit funny .. sorry! But if you want to see some funny men's cards hop over to the blog and see what all the other girls came up with, they did much better than me!

Cute Daisy May Guest DT Card - Vintage

Hello! Today I have my GDT card for Cute Daisy May, this weeks challenge is 'vintage'. I have used papers from Basic Grey Bittersweet pad and I think this pattern is so pretty and perfect for a vintage style card and I also distressed the edges of the papers with some tearing and distress inks. I am still very new to distress inks and have to admit I only have one colour - I would love to have a go at colouring images with them but have not yet plucked up the courage, I need to find a good tutorial to follow so if anyone knows of one I'd love to know. Anyway hop over to the blog to see all the other DT's gorgeous creations and to join in with us.

My First Bracelet

Good afternoon, hope you had a lovely weekend. Today is my sister in law's birthday and I have had a little go at making a bracelet for her. This is my first attempt at jewellery making and although it was fiddly at first, once I got into it I really enjoyed making it and will no doubt do more soon. I hope my sister in law likes it, guess I will find out this evening when I give it her - I will let you know the outcome tomorrow. I have also made a gift box/bag for the bracelet to go in but haven't taken a picture.

Totally Gorjuss Challenge DT - Dimension

Hello, hope you are all well and enjoying your weekend so far. Today is another challenge over on Totally Gorjuss and this weeks challenge is 'Dimension'. I don't normally add dimension to a card, I suppose I don't have the patience for all the cutting out and layering but I have to admit I enjoyed making this card. I have used one of my favourite Gorjuss Girls and layered her dress for the dimension, the pictures are not great I am afraid. I have been trying for a few days now to get a better one but it has been so dull and grey it hasn't happened, I think I need a daylight lamp - must drop hints to the hubbie as it is my birthday in March. LOL! Anyway hop over to the blog to see all the other girls fantastic cards and to join in the fun!

Have a great weekend.

Hello! Today I have my DT card for Crafty Catz. This weeks challenge has been set by Carol and she wants a 'Love' card, it can be for Valentine's, an Anniversay or just to say 'I love you', whatever takes your fancy but hearts must appear on it somewhere. I have used a Penny Black image and the hearts are on the ribbon and nestled amongst the flowers. I hope you can join us again this week, we had an amazing amount of entries last week and myself and the other DT girls love seeing your cards and visiting your blogs, so thank you for playing along with us.

Totally Gorjuss DT Challenge 13 - Monochrome

Good morning. Today I have my DT card for the challenge over on Totally Gorjuss, which is monochrome. Now I have always assumed this meant black and white but the lovely girls over at TG explained that it is actually shades of one colour, so with this in mind how could I resist using my favourite colour 'pink'. I have used one of the new love Miss Anya's and some of my new Basic Grey Bittersweet papers, I love them and you will probably be subjected to them for weeks and weeks now .. sorry! Well if you have a minute pop over to the blog and have a look at all the other girls cards, they are fantastic and join in the fun! I am also entering this card into challenge 121 over on Mojo Monday as I followed their great sketch.

Crafty Catz Challenge 15 - DT 'Birthday Card'

Hello! Hope you are all well and that your snow is on its way out - it has rained quite a bit here today so it is disappearing nicely. Well we have had quite a week, Ben has been poorly with what we thought was laryngitis and on Tuesday I took him back to the doctor as his breathing was still not as good as it should be and the doctor sent us to A & E, apparently it is Croup and that narrows the airways, hence his breathing problems. Anyway to cut a long story short we spent 5 hours on childrens ward, they checked him out, gave him another dose of steroids and sent us home and he is soooooo much better now, in fact so much so he was back in school yesterday after nearly 4 weeks of not going with Christmas, snow closures etc and had a fantastic day, so fingers crossed for the same again today. Well on to cards now and today is a new challenge over at Crafty Catz and this week I am hosting! I have set the challenge of a birthday card, it can be for male or female, young or old just whatever takes your fancy and I cannot wait to see what you come up with. The card I have made is using a gorgeous Mo Manning image and is for my niece Isabella, she will be 5 at the end of the month. I am also entering this card into Cupcake Challenges 73 which is 'going girly' and Charisma Cardz Challenge 2 which is 'anything new' - the image is my new item.

Crafty Catz Challenge 14 DT Card

Hello ! Well I don't know about you but I am now offically fed up with the snow - it is just not shifting and the school has been closed all last week and my children are very much hoping it is open Monday - I know it is weird but they miss school, especially my daughter, I am just enjoying it while it lasts as no doubt in a couple of years she will hate it. Also we have one grit bin for the whole of our estate and it is right at the opposite end to us and as soon as it is filled the selfish people near it take it all ..... why !!!! if we all had a bit and spread it on the road in front of our houses we would all get out easier especially as it is quite hilly. Anyway that is my rant over with for today and back to happier things and the Crafty Catz challenge is back today. This week the lovely Kirsty has set the challenge for us of 'bright and sparkly', I loved this challenge as it let me get my bottle of stickles out again and get all sparkly, I have also used one of my new Miss Anya stamps, I love them. If you have a minute pop over to the blog to see what the other ladies have been up to and join in the fun, I would love to be able to drop by your blogs and say hello!

Digital Tuesday Challenge 40 DT Card - Valentines

Hello! Well today is officially 'snow' day - oh my, we have had inches and inches of the old white stuff overnight and it has basically brought Greater Manchester to a halt. All the schools are closed and no-one can get to work although my daft husband tried and got a couple of miles in 2 hours, came back got the car stuck, spent an age digging out the road to get it sort of outside our drive way, I think the right word for it is abandoned, but at least we are all safe and sound. Anyway on to my card and today is Digital Tuesday day and this weeks challenge was set by the lovely Paula and she wanted us to make a Valentines. I used a download from Pink Petticoat, I love it as it is quite modern and could be used for various things without the sentiment and I also used some of my new MME papers. I hope you like it and if you want to join in the fun pop over to the blog.
