Anyone For Anya? Challenge 2

Good evening everyone. I have another card for you today aren't I doing well ! I have used another of my dressy Miss Anya's and this time it is for the challenge over on Anyone for Anya. I was so disappointed that I missed the first challenge I decided to do this one nice and early for a change! This weeks challenge is a great sketch by Dawny P and I really enjoyed using it, I have also added some more of my butterflies, sorry but once I like something I tend to do overkill on it for weeks, it's the same with a meal, I'll have it again and again until I can't stand it anymore .. drives the hubbie bananas! Sunday Sketch and Stamp Challenge 10

Good morning. Last night I made a card for Sunday Sketch and Stamp which this week is a fabulous sketch by Sem, pop over to see Sem's and the other DT's gorgeous cards. I have used one of my new dressy Anyas, they are fab and I couldn't wait to get them inked up. I have also added a few sweet little butterflies which I have made with my Martha Stewart 3 in 1 butterfly punch, I love it, the butterflies are sooo pretty and it is nice that you get the different sizes. Well I hope you have a lovely day whatever you do and if you are in the UK try and not get caught up in those bank hol traffic jams. Ben is back to school tomorrow, can't believe how fast it went .... so to all you fellow frazzled mums out there .... we've made it ! LOL!

Penny Black Saturday Challenge 64

Good evening all, hope you are having a good bank holiday so far. It has been a mixture of rainy and sunny spells here today so better than yesterday, we at least got the garden mowed, well that's a bit of a royal we I should say hubbie got the garden mowed. LOL! Today's card is for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge and this weeks theme is Christmas. Now I couldn't resist this one as I have only made one christmas card this year so far so it was a good excuse to get another made and I must say I actually enjoyed doing it. I have included some flowers and I have added glitter to them and to the snowflakes and holly leaves but it doesn't show up too well but it is there I promise. Well that is it for today, I was hoping to get a card done for the Anyone for Anya? challenge but as my new Anyas only arrived today I just haven't had chance but I will be there for challenge 2. I have also just got myself a Martha Stewart 3 in 1 butterfly punch and I cannot wait to try that out so look out for butterflies on everything very soon ....

Saturday Challenge 46

Good afternoon! I have managed to fit in another card today and it is my first Christmas card of the year. I really must get a move on with these as I know there are alot of organised ladies out there in blogland who have been doing Christmas cards for a while now. Anyway I treated myself to some of these gorgeous owl downloads from Willow Designs and decided to join in the challenge over on Saturday Challenge, this week you have to use turquoise and brown. I have found it hard doing a Christmas card and need to get back into them again, I always struggle as I can't go sticking all my flowers etc on them and snowflakes don't really seem to look quite the same or mine don't anyway. More practise needed me thinks !

Papertake Weekly Challenge 22

Good morning, hope you are all well and have better weather than I do here in the North West, rain rain go away .... as Grayce sings ! Anyway last night I got a minute to make a card for Papertake Weekly but by the time I finished it was too dark for piccies so here it is today. This week is a sketch by Dawny P and it is a great one at that too, I so enjoyed using it. I have used a Tilda this time you will be glad to know, my new Anya's are on the way so as soon as they arrive I will no doubt ink them up but for the time being Tilda it is and I loved colouring her, everything just seemed to go right, I love it when that happens. Well hope you like it and any comments are always gratefully received.

Friday Sketchers Challenge 65

Hello, hope you are all well. Well we had a windy yet muggy day yesterday and today it is still blowing a gale and warm but with the added addition of rain .. :( I can't believe the summer hols are already nearly over, Ben is back in school on 1st September and Grayce starts her induction to preschool the day after, time does fly as they say. Anyway less of my babbling and on to more cardy things. I have yet again done a late entry for Friday Sketchers, it is a great sketch by Beatrix and I have been wanting to do a card with it all week but it never quite happened until this afternoon. I have used Miss Anya again, apologies but I am ordering the new Miss Anya's tomorrow so you shouldn't have to see these ones for much longer. I have used darker more unusual colours for me and I am really pleased with the results and I have also used my new flowers too, hope you like them.

I Love Promarkers Challenge 2

Hello everyone, hope you are having a good week so far. Today's card is one my mum in law has asked me to make for her to give to her Uncle, he is 65 in a couple of weeks. I always struggle making male cards but once I had discovered the cute Bernard owl over on Digistamp Boutique it seemed to come together quite well. I love this little owl and it is so perfect as my mum in laws uncle is called Bernard. I have used the sketch over on I Love Promakers, it is such a great sketch, simple but effective and this is one I will be using again. I have resisted embellishing this card too much as you can't really do that for men can you .. I have just bought some gorgeous flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts too which I am dying to use so I will have to try and get another card done later especially so I can use them, I've no patience what so ever have I .... LOL!

Anyway I have finally done the birthday card for my mum from the kids and I have used the lovely sketch over on Sketch Saturday, it is really simple but very effective. The cute image is a Pollycraft download called Penelope. I love her as she sooo reminds me of my mum with her gardening. Grayce my little girl is obsessed by my mum's watering can and loves to help her with the flowers so I thought this would be perfect. Good afternoon, hope you are all well and haven't got too much rain where ever you may be. It has cleared up here and gone nice so fingers crossed it lasts for the afternoon. Well I have another birthday coming up this week, this time it is my mum's on Sunday. I have done a card for her from me and the hubbie and I will have to do another from the kids tomorrow. I am still going through my Miss Anya phase so I must apologise if you are getting fed up of seeing her on my cards, I will make a big effort to use something different tomorrow. A Passion For Stamps

Die Cut Dreams Challenge 8

Good morning everyone, it's Friday again and it looks like another nice sunny day for the North West! Hubbie has day off today so it mowing the lawn ready for the big trampoline build - the kids are so excited and can't wait for him to put it up, but you know what men are like the lawn has to be just right first ! Anyway today's card is one that my mum in law has asked me to make her for her sister as it her birthday soon so I thought it would be perfect for this weeks Die Cut Dreams fashion challenge. I haven't done this challenge before but after buying some fantastic die cuts from Susie this week at Die Cut Dreams I couldn't resist. Susie offers a great service and she is sooooo helpful, I have used one of my new diecuts on this card, couldn't help myself xx

Anyone For Anya? DT Call

Good afternoon everyone, hope you are enjoying the sunny weather, it has been lovely here for a few days now, so nice for the kids to be able to play in the garden for a change. Hubbie has been out and bought them a trampoline at lunch for B&Q near his work it was reduced to £25 - it is one with an enclosure but a small first one for 3-6 year olds so perfect for both our small garden and small kids. Anyway on to Anyone for Anya? which is a fab new challenge blog run by our very favourite Pink Piggy Dawny P, the fun starts on 25th August and Dawny is looking for DT members so pop across and have a peek. The challenges are going to be Anya/Greetings Farm based and as someone who has recently discovered the joy of Anya I can't wait for it all to start. Guess what I won .....

Good morning and Happy Saturday! and it is a Happy Saturday for me as I have logged on to the Allsorts Challenge to see what this weeks fun is and guess what .. I won last weeks challenge .. yippee ! I never win anything so I am sooooooo excited as you can probably tell. Anyway I will go away and calm down now, I have received my lovely Miss Anya stamps yesterday and have just inked one up so I need to get going on it with my Promakers so look out for a card soon, I have wanted these stamps for ages but they have never been in stock .. must be my lucky week.
