Stampin' for the Weekend Challenge 9 - Guest DT

Good morning everyone and here we are at Friday again, hope you've all had a great week. Today is my second and final guest DT week for Stampin For the Weekend. I have soooo enjoyed my time as Guest DT and want to thank Kimmi and the rest of the girls for letting me join in with all the fun they are a lovely bunch and big hugs to them all xxx This weeks challenge is to alter an item whether it be a jar or a book, whatever just have fun and the challenge is sponsored by Die Cut Dreams so that has got to make it worth a go. I have had loads of fun altering a little metal pink bucket that my Mother's Day flowers came in from the kids. I have been using it to store bits of crafting stash but thought this would be the perfect opportunity to make it a bit more exciting. I have taken quite a few piccies but I just wanted you to be able to see it all clearly. Have loads of fun altering your items, I can't wait to see them all.

Allsorts Challenge Week 11

Good morning folks! Yep it's another rainy day up here in the North West but on a more cheerful note it is also my sister in laws 40th birthday today. So as you do I have made some cards for her and the first one is from myself and the hubbie and I have used the fab sketch by Dawny P over on Allsorts, you were also meant to include the colours Chocolate and Marshmallow but somewhere along the way I seem to have lost the plot and it has ended up more black and marshmallow ... sorry girls ! Please excuse the terrible photos today as for some reason I cannot take a decent photo to save my life, I have got the wobbles and they keep coming out blurred .. must be having one of those days. I'll be back very soon with my next card.

Stampin' for the Weekend Challenge 8 - Guest DT

Good morning folks! Today's card is a very exciting one for me as it is my first ever DT card. I am a Guest DT for Stampin for the Weekend for 2 weeks and I am sooo pleased to be involved especially as all the DT's are so fabulous and talented. This weeks challenge is 'Masking' using 2 or more stamps. I am quite new to masking, only been doing it for a few months but I am totally hooked as you can make such lovely scenes. This weeks challenge is sponsored by Windrush and they have offered a fantastic House Mouse stamp as the prize, definitely worth a go me thinks. For my card I have used my Flower Power Tilda, I just love her head band and a Magnolia Shabby Chic fence all coloured with my trusty Promarkers. Pop over to the Stampin' blog to see all the other gorgeous DT cards and their take on masking and have a go yourself. Good luck everyone !

Penny Black Saturday Challenge 58

Hello. hope you are having a good week if not a wet one, oh my how it rained here yesterday. I am hoping for a bit of sunshine today as hubbie has a couple of days off work and we are taking the kids to Sealife at Blackpool today and the Manchester Museum tomorrow. Yesterday I made a quick card for the Penny Black challenge which is Soft and Sweet this week. I thought the little hedgehog and his cake were the sweet and the colours the soft so hopefully that should cover it ok. Pop across to the blog and see all the lovely DT cards, they are gorgeous. I hope to be back with more cards soon but I am struggling a bit to get them done at the minute with the kids being on school hols. Have a great day !

Papertake Weekly Sketch 19

Good afternoon folks! Well the school hols have officially began, Grayce finished playgroup yesterday and Ben finished school this afternoon at 2pm so now the fun begins or stress depending on how I decide to approach it ! Does anyone else feel like this or I am officially the worst mother in blog land ? Anyway I have managed a card today and it is for the sketch challenge over on Papertake Weekly. It is a great sketch although quite a hard one for me as it is so lovely and simple and I really had to stop myself over embellishing. Now I have took the photos I really think I shouldn't have added those flowers but there you go too late now as they have attached themselves to the card like their little lives depended on it. Hope to be back with more tomorrow but we'll see how it goes.

Hello, hope you are having a great Monday morning, it is lovely and sunny here with a slight breeze so all is well! Today I have had a go at the Penny Black challenge which is to use swirls and Friday Sketchers which is a fab sketch by Heidi, I have turned the sketch around just so my image will fit correctly. The image I have used is a Penny Black one called 'Minding Shelty' and I love it, especially the teeny tiny hedgehog, sooo sweet. Well pop across to both blogs to see some gorgeous DT creations and also check out the prizes on offer too!

Allsorts Challenge Week 8

Good afternoon all, weekend is nearly here and fingers crossed for dry weather as it is my niece's step daughters 2nd birthday and she is meant to be having a BBQ in the garden for her, I still need to do the card too, ooops !! Anyway the card I have done today is for the Allsorts weekly challenge and it is also my last teacher thank you card - I am sure you will all be glad of that as they were dragging on a bit. This weeks challenge is to do a shaped card and I have used a Bo Bunny Alissa journalling cut out that I had and have never been brave enough to use. I am sooooo unsure about this card, I am considering tearing it apart and starting again but maybe it is because it is so different to what I normally do. Well I will have a little think and see what the hubbie thinks when he gets home ....

Three challenges

Good afternoon! Today I have made another thank you card, this time it is for the Aunties at Grayce's playgroup. I have managed to combine three challenges into this one card, oooh I am feeling smug .. :) the first one is Cupcake Craft Challenges - this week you had to use the colours black and white, the second is for Cute Card Thursday, here you had to make a thank you card for a teacher - perfect ! and lastly Papertake Weekly, the challenge here was to use some of your favourite things, and one of my favourite things are Gorjuss Girls so I have used my newest stamp. Now once I finished this card I looked at it and thought maybe the image isn't the best to use on a thank you card but it does look so much like Grayce I am sure they will forgive me. Happy Crafting!

Papertake Weekly Challenge

Good afternoon everyone. I have been very last minute again and have finally done my entry for this weeks Papertake Weekly challenge, the challenge changes this evening so hopefully I am not too late. This week there is a sketch to follow and a wonderful prize and of course great DT cards so pop over and have a look before it changes. I have made this card for Ben to give to his support worker next week when school closes for summer, she is wonderful with him and I still need to get her a little pressie to say thank you for all her work with Ben, she puts up with maybe more than she should, she is sharing the job in September with another lady who looks after Ben during lunch so it should be easier then for her and also Ben will probably benefit from having two different people with him during the day. Anyway less of my babble, I have more teacher cards to make, this time for Grayce to give to the 'aunties' who look after her in playgroup, she moves into preschool in September, oh my don't they grow up fast .....

The Sugar Bowl Challenge 14

Hello, hope you are having a great Monday, it is cooler today so I am feeling much better about the weather today and I hope all my American blogging friends had a great July 4th. Today I have finally plucked up the courage to have a go at the challenge over on The Sugar Bowl. This weeks challenge is a sketch by Judy plus the addition of sparkle - how could I resist when sparkle was mentioned! I have got a new Gorjuss Girls stamp - Miss Attitude and I love her as she reminds me sooooo much of my little girl Grayce when she is having one of her difficult moments, I even showed her the card and said 'who does it look like' and she said 'me' ... what more can I say! I have coloured her with my Promarkers and my addition of sparkle is on her hair bobbles and the bottom of her dress although it is hard to see it on the piccies and for good measure I've added a charm and some dewdrops. I have also got a new Martha Stewart punch - Flourish which I love and will no doubt keep appearing on all my cards from now on. Hope you like it, and any comments would be very gratefully received.

Charisma Cardz Challenge 26

Good afternoon and what a hot one it is, I am not liking this heat one little bit it makes me all flakey! but the good news for me anyway is that it is meant to be cooler this weekend :) Anyway I have finally managed a card, they have been thin on the ground lately, I spent most of yesterday in the local casualty dept with Ben, he slipped on a toy in the morning and refused to walk after that and school sent him home so I thought better safe than sorry, luckily he hasn't done any harm. He still refused to walk this morning so has had the day off school, but at lunch time we had our own little miracle, we went to the park and he leaped from his buggy and ran around ..... guess where Ben is going tomorrow, that's right school ! Well back to topic and my card, I have had to make a card for a lady who works with my hubbie so as I have used buttons it fits perfectly with this weeks Charisma Cardz challenge which is to use buttons, yippee ! I have used my little flower power Tilda again as I love her so much and some K & Co papers I have just bought from ebay, I love them. There are loads of great DT cards as ever over on Charisma so pop over and be inspired.
