Sunday Sketch and Stamp Challenge 5

Hello, hope you are having a lovely weekend. The weather is quite muggy today but I have just read that there is going to be a heatwave next week, possible temperatures of 32 ... that is not something I am looking forward to, I have to say very hot days make me quite grumpy, I am a lover of cooler weather .. aren't I a spoil sport :) Anyway after leaving last weeks Just Magnolia entry to the last minute I thought I would be a bit more organised this week and I have done my card for this weeks sketch challenge over on Sunday Sketch & Stamp. This week the sketch is by Arianne and it is a great sketch to follow and the even better news is there is a fab prize to be won from Alota Rubber Stamps so get yourselves over there and have a peek. I have had another go at masking again and although I am pleased with the result I am wondering whether the proportion is wrong, any advise you have on this would be greatly appreciated.

Enjoy the rest of the day.

Just Magnolia Challenge 10

Good evening, hope you are having a great week, the sun has been shining up here in the North West for a few days now so all is well! Sorry for the lack of posts this week but there is loads going on with school at the moment and with Grayce starting pre-school in September I have had induction meetings and allsorts and also meetings concerning Ben and his provision for his special needs in September it has been none stop - I feel part of the school furniture now, I am sure they are fed up of the sight of me. Anyway I have managed a card today and it is a very late entry for Just Magnolia. The theme was summer and it changes tomorrow so pop over and see the DT cards before it is too late. I have also had a go at a new technique with this card, masking, I have never tried it before and I am really pleased with the results, I am sure I will get better though with practise. I would love to hear your comments and they are always very much appreciated.

Have a lovely evening.

A Spoon Full Of Sugar Challenge 56

Good evening everyone, hope you are well. It has been a busy week so far and sadly I haven't made as many cards as I would have liked. Ben went on his first school trip on Tuesday to a fairly local animal farm and loved it, I spent the day fretting about him, which I obviously didn't need to do - doh! I also nearly won a set of 60 new Polychromos pencils on ebay the other night and was outbid with 3 seconds to go and lost them by a £1, I was sooooo gutted but no doubt there will be a next time or so my hubbie tells me .. :( Today I have made a card for the challenge over on A Spoon Full of Sugar. This week there is a lovely sketch to follow by MichelleO, I really love it and must remember to use it again sometime. As usual there are some fantastic DT cards to look at too so pop across and be inspired, I hope to be back with another card tomorrow for another challenge.

Have a lovely evening.

Colour Create Challenge 19

Good afternoon and what a wet one it is too, the day started off warm and sunny, I cleaned down all my patio furniture this morning and this afternoon I am dodging rain showers, but never mind. I have had a little go at the Colour Create challenge this afternoon, the colours this week were blush pink, lilac and mossy green, a great combo, pop over and have a look at the lovely DT cards and hopefully you will like mine too, I have used one of my Gorjuss Girls, can't resist them and I think she looks so pretty in her lilac dress. Hope to have another card for you tomorrow.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge 52

Hi everyone, just a quick hello, hope you have had a lovely day. My hubbie has been off work for a couple of days so we have took advantage of the dry weather and set to on the garden, hence my lack of posts. Anyway I decided to have a little go at the Penny Black challenge today, I have never done this one before and thought it was about time I dug out one of my little hedgehogs, I just adore them but are quite nervous of getting the colouring right. The challenge was 'blooming gorgeous' and I have interpreted that as lots of flowers - yummy, I love flowers they always cheer up a room or garden in an instant. I have resisted using my doily punch on this one, didn't want to bore you all with it but I am sure it will be back soon ...

Have a great evening!

Roses on Paper Challenge 13 & Belles n' Whistles DT Call

Good afternoon, hope you are well if not a little cold, it is quite dull and chilly here today. I have come across a fantastic challenge blog today called Roses on Paper, their challenges run bi-monthly and this time it is to use the colours pink, yellow and green. They are also starting a new blog called Belles n' Whistles to run inconjunction with the new store that is opening in July, they are going to be selling some fab stamps so pay them a visit and they need DT members :) so this card is also for that too! If you fancy a go you have till the end of June to apply. My card is made using the sketch over on Just Magnolia for their week 8 challenge and I have also used butterflies as that is this weeks theme over on A Spoon Full of Sugar - I can't believe I have managed to combine so many challenges into one card ... yipee !

Stampin' for the Weekend Challenge 1

Good morning, I hope you all had a lovely weekend. I had a great weekend as I finally became the proud owner of a Martha Stewart Doily punch, I have wanted one for ages and just could not get my hands on one and finally ebay came to my rescue and a lovely lady in America did me proud, so expect lots of it on my cards for a while .. :) Stampin' for the weekend launched last Friday and the first challenge is called ' from dawn till dusk', it is a great colour combo of purple and yellow and the colours look great together, I was a bit surprised as this is not a colour combination I would have picked normally. There is a fab prize for the winner so pop over there and have a peek and also check out the gorgeous DT cards too ! I hope you like my card and please bare with me and my piccies at the mo as I have just started using photoshop to edit and I am still learning how to use it .. lol!

Happy Birthday Libbie !

Good morning everyone, hope you have been enjoying the sunny weather, I have to say I am personally glad it is a bit cooler today as I am not a great fan of really hot days but as long as it stays dry I'll be happy. It is my little neice Libbie's birthday tomorrow and she will be 2 so I have made her a card, I have been making this one for days as I have struggled to get it right but I think I am happy with it now - my mojo went away completely :( Also this card covers 2 challenges this week too which is great, the first one is Cute Card Thursday - you had to have a bit o' bling on your card so I have the glitter on the fairy, lots of gems and the little butterfly charm. The second is for Cupcake Challenge 42 which was to use a fairy on your card so what could be more perfect, I love this little fairy doodle, I have only just discovered these stamps and I will no doubt be using them more and more over the coming months.

Enjoy the rest of your day!
