Digital Tuesday Challenge 39 DT Card

Good evening everyone. I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas, can't believe it is over after all those weeks of waiting and preparing - it always seems to be over in a flash but it was worth it as we had a fantastic few days. It is always madness on Christmas day as my hubbie has 3 sisters, I am an only child, it is a good job I tell you and between us all we have 10 children ranging from 22 down to 2 so obviously everyone likes to see everyone else for at least an hour to swap pressies etc so it turns into a major logistical event trying to work out who goes where at what time whilst trying to fit in letting your own kids open their pressies before it all starts ..... phew but we got there and it was lovely and my mum and dad spent the day with us and had Christmas dinner cooked by my fantastic hubbie and as I keep saying it was fantastic. Also before I move on to my DT card I just want to thank you all for taking the time over this last year to visit my blog and leave lovely comments, it is all very much appreciated and I can't wait to see you all again next year and have more fun - mwah xxxx So on to my card, it is Digital Tuesday day and this week the theme is to use lots of sparkle, we are sponsored by Soft Pencil and we were all given an image to use and I love mine, it is called 'Welcome Winter' and it is so sweet. I have to apologise for the piccie as the light has been terrible here for a few days and also it is quite a plain card for me but I think my mojo is still on its hols so fingers crossed it will be back soon. Anyway if you have time pop over to the blog and see the other girls cards and join in the fun! I hope you have a great New Years Eve whatever you maybe doing - we are hoping for a quite night in and a take away - fingers crossed the kids let us .... Happy New Year !!

Totally Gorjuss Challenge DT 'Gift Tag'

Just a quick hello, hope you are all ok with the snow. Today I have my Totally Gorjuss DT creation, this week is a nice and easy challenge of a gift tag to take you into the New Year. I have used one of my favourite Gorjuss Girls and she fitted perfectly on my gift tag, I left it quite plain as I didn't think it needed too much embellishment, plus there wasn't room LOL! Hop over to the blog to see all the other DT's great creations and I am off now to watch the Strictly Come Dancing Final ... come on Chris and Ola !!

Crafty Catz Challenge 13 - DT 'Fairytale Of New York'

Hello everyone. hope you are well and not under too much snow - we had some last night and it has been enough to cause chaos on the roads. It was meant to be the kids last day of term today but they haven't gone in mainly because Ben was up all night being sick, seems like he has the dreaded sickness bug that always seems to haunt us in December, no doubt we will all be at it soon .. yuk! Anyway on a happier note today I have my DT card for Crafty Catz, this is the last challenge of the year until the New Year and we have so enjoyed seeing all your cards and hope you will be back with us next year. This weeks theme is Fairytale of New York - my fairytale would be to be able to go Christmas shopping in New York but as I can't just yet I sent Tilda instead and she came back with lots of pressies, I hope you like her on my card. Hop over to the blog to see all the other girls fantastic creations and to welcome Trish to our team, this is her first week with us and she has done a great job.

Crafty Catz Challenge 12 DT - Colour Combo

Good afternoon, hope you are well and ready for the weekend. I have been to my daughter's nursery nativity play this morning and had a great time. I cannot believe how the teachers get all those 3 & 4 year olds to do everything they do but it was funny in places, bless ! especially my Grayce as she was the loudest singer there and I mean loud !!! the headteacher even commented at the end and said she will have to have her in the choir next year ... LOL! Anyway it is Friday so it is Crafty Catz challenge day again today and this week the lovely Dianne is hosting and would like you to use the colours brown, cream, white & gold. These are colours I would not normally use so I did find this challenge quite a struggle but I am pleased with the outcome and hope you like it too. Hop over to the blog to see all the other girls beautiful creations. I would also like to welcome Trish to our team and she will start with us next week so look out for her then. I am also entering this card into the challenge over on Just Magnolia which is 'Christmas'.

Digital Tuesday Challenge 36 DT Card - Christmas Song

Good afternoon, hope you are all having a good week and your Christmas preparations are going well, I've done my shopping now and I just need to get it all wrapped although I have made a good start but it always seems to take twice as long as I expect it to. Anyway today I have my DT card for Digital Tuesday, this weeks challenge is to make a card based on a Christmas song and I have chosen 'Santa Baby' as that what sprang to mind when I purchased this digi-image from CC Designs. I hope you like it too and if you have a moment hop over to the blog and have a peek at all the other DT cards, they are beautiful.

Totally Gorjuss Challenge DT Card - Sketch Meets Crafty Calendar Challenge 3 & Just Magnolia Week 34

Hello again, I don't think I have ever posted so many times in one day but this is the last time today I promise! As it is Friday it is also Totally Gorjuss Challenge day and this week it is a sketch challenge set by the fantastic Net and it is a great sketch too. I loved making this card, sketches are one of my favourite challenges and this week I have used a Tilda rather than a Gorjuss Girl as the challenge is now open to other stamps so everyone can join in the fun. I have also had a go at using distressing ink, I love the look of this technique when I see it on all your gorgeous creations and would love to hear from you if you have any tips on how I can improve. I am also entering this into the challenge over at Crafty Calender which is Winter Sparkle and Just Magnolia, a card for someone special.

News ...

Hello everyone, hope you are all well. I just thought I would update you with some design team news. Today I have made the decision to resign my post at Pixie Dust Studio, I make cards, blog and work on design teams because it is fun and it is a bit of me that is all mine as selfish as it sounds and sadly I wasn't having fun on this team even though all the girls were lovely and it was time to say enough is enough. But on a happier note I got an email from Linnie over at Cute Daisy May earlier this week and she asked if I would guest design for them for the next 3 months so how could I say no ... my first DT card is Monday so look out for that, Linnie's designs are gorgeous and I am going to enjoy the next 3 months alot.

Have a great weekend.

Pixie Dust Forest Friends Release Day

Hi! Just a quick post to let you all know the new collection of digi stamps from Pixie Dust Studio has been released today - I posted a card yesterday featuring the Owl Tree. It is the most gorgeous collection of images that can be used again and again for many occasions, I love them! Pop over to Kathy's shop to have a peek and maybe buy one or two. Here is a little story about the Forest Friends:

Pixie Pie was all ready to go on her adventure into the woods. She had her lunch packed and Wink by her side. She was careful to walk along the pathways that were covered with heart shaped stones... this way she could keep her boots looking like new. She stopped when she saw her dear friend Princess and Peek-a-boo. They decided to wander down the pathways together. As they walked they passed a wonderful mushroom with the funniest little critters upon it. They girls both giggled as the walked by. Pixie Pie heard a growling sound and become frightened..then she noticed it was just her stomach. So they found a grassy spot under a tree and ate lunch. They ended up feeding the sweetest squirrels and a perfectly Pink deer! Pixie and Princess knew the day was coming to an end and said good-bye to one another. Pixie Pie arrived home to find an invitation in the mail to a party..it was just not "any" party...it was a grand Ball!
